Boss, Blues Brothers & Music that soothes the savage beast or breast?

Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis, Valentine's Day, 2/14/2005 O'Neill Brothers' dueling pianos & harmonicas, Deborah Gibson singing Les Mis' Eponine's ON MY OWN and playing her own original scores. The violinist, sax player, & guitarist definitely added a high note to the romantic evening. Compliments of JNBA. Thai Thu Ngoan, you are a wonderful French speaking Viet Namese lady. La principessa. Continuing with music: Best concert: Fine Line Cafe's Blues Brothers, Dan Akroyd & Jim Belushi. Payne Avenue never rocked as much, with the exception of Ben Doran's benefit; Bruce Springsteen's Devils & Dust & at the Excel, Iranian music with East Indian dancing. The O'Neill Brothers from Notre Dame also played a similar Irish drum, quite unlike Southern Theater's Japanese Mu Daiko. Kyle, keep up the percussion, marimbas.

Happy Birthday, Aquarians & Aquariums!

Cugino Roberto's amico, Chef Nicola at Il Ragazzi di Via Panisperna,( forgive me, La Professoressa Gina Rulli, if the article does not agree with the noun)a restaurant near Colosseum, makes a signature creme brulee that stirs in passion, or at least it was in the one he served Gina for her birthday/going home/gala. It was dressed up with eucalyptic spires, but it was the company that night that made the festa. 4 hours later we were still eating what had been live sea food swimming in aquarians, oh, aquariums. Read Like Water For Chocolate to get the idea of food/passion. Or view the film, Chocolat... or the food scene in Tom Jones...maybe someone can think of other films in this category. There's one specific one with that escapes me right now, but I'm sure someone will come up with it. HINT, HINT, please comment, or I'll go crazy wondering which one it was. Thanks to Ruth Chris in Minneapolis for this birthday present.

XX Winter Olympics, 2006 Torino, Italia, Congrats USA Women's Hockey...Going for the Gold!

Women's hockey has come a long way in a short time. CSC vs Alumnae, Ridder Arena, Nov 13, 2004, part of the 100th year Centennial of CSC. At least I was on the ice when the alumnae scored ...wearing equipment from Washington, Como Park & Johnson HS, Sarah Follmer's (Como '2004 a la Kyle) skates, CJ Hanratty's (Como '2006) skates and finally Kate's skates. Johnson's gloves (Bucky K) and Como Park's vintage yellow & black stockings, breezers and vintage pads from the '70's era Washington HS (Wally Kranz, John Brodrick, Rod Magnuson) I played defense, Billy Schaeffer and Dane Walters! Dec 30, 2005, Team Canada played USA at the Excel. It was awesome, but if you play like you did yesterday against Finland, look out Canada. A memoriam to Herb Brooks: you were my mentor; as is Rod Magnuson, who is currently volunteering his time to Como's team, when he's not smoking up the golf courses, I mean burning them up. Bonnie Brings, keep those drones flying, you epitomize women's hockey! And especially to Como's skater with a prosthetic in the the Lake Placid ParaOlympics!
